A Young child feels embarrassed going to school in dirty clothes, yet the parents just do not have the extra cash on hand to purchase laundry soap. They make every little penny stretch and yet there is still not enough.

An older person, feels uncomfortable about taking care of themselves because they don't have the proper hygiene items and cannot afford them on what little money they get from Social Security or some other means.

Holiday Hope realizes how important the hygiene items are so the Holiday Hygiene Baskets were created. Over the years of passing these lovely hygiene baskets out, the peoples faces have lit up and we have been told that we leave no stone unturned.

Every donation counts! We even take donations for clean left over material so that the lovely ladies at the Highland Lutheran Church can turn the material into  beautiful quilts for those in need. Cotton/Flannel Material works the best for keeping those in need warm for the winter.

Sign up with your Fred Meyer or QFC card and link your card to Holiday Hope! This is a great way to also help during Holiday Hope all year long. Every time you shop Fred Meyers donates to Holiday Hope! Share this information with your friends and Family.

Even though Holiday Hope's Giving is mainly  for the December  Holiday Season, it takes a full year to prepare for all our clients needs during the Holiday Season. From the very young to the very old. We are blessed with the  many volunteers, community supporters and caring people just like yourself to help us bring joy to our community for those in need.

Donate Today, to help someone in need for the 2018 Holiday Season!

Holiday Hygiene Baskets

Right along with the food baskets comes the hygiene baskets. If a person is down on his luck for food then they don't have enough to purchase the essential items needed in looking for employment, sanitation and health. If needed they can apply for a hygiene basket also, which is filled with Detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, personal hygiene items and much more. Since food stamps do not cover these important items many people are in need of them.

When picking up your hygiene basket you are greeted by one of the many volunteer elves that help get the holiday magic in motion. What makes this so special is the fact that individuals, families and seniors that are a little down on their luck and need some help feel ashamed to receive hygiene baskets because it is such a personal/private issue. Holiday Hope wants the experience to be a festive one, not a one of feeling ashamed when you need a little extra help. Items are placed in a nice re-usable bag that has a holiday look to it.
