When picking up your food basket you are greeted by one of the many volunteer elves that help get the holiday magic in motion. What makes this so special is the fact that individuals, families and seniors that are a little down on their luck and need some help feel ashamed to receive food from a food bank. Holiday Hope wants the experience to be a festive one, not a one of feeling ashamed when you need a little extra help.
Holiday Hope Food Baskets start getting prepared in March of each year, just a mere ten months away from being dispersed to people in need during the holiday season. Wrapping up the food boxes with festive paper helps bring holiday cheer into the homes of those in need. The recipients holiday season of magic begins when they receive a lovely wrapped food box.

Holiday Food Baskets
Holiday Hope projects how many food baskets will be filled each year depending on the commitment of the volunteers, stores and community supporters. They always set aside a few extra baskets for the local Police Department incase there is an emergency situation where there is no food in a house to feed the family for the holidays. Food baskets get filled from March to early December with non perishable items for the families. The turkeys, hams and perishable foods are put in right before they are picked up. The Baskets are filled with enough food to last for the two weeks that the children are out on school break, sense most children rely on the free meals at school as their food source.

Even though Holiday Hope's Giving is mainly for the December Holiday Season, it takes a full year to prepare for all our clients needs during the Holiday Season. From the very young to the very old. We are blessed with the many volunteers, community supporters and caring people just like yourself to help us bring joy to our community for those in need.
Donate Today, to help someone in need for the 2018 Holiday Season!
Every donation counts! We even take donations for clean left over material so that the lovely ladies at the Highland Lutheran Church can turn the material into beautiful quilts for those in need. Cotton/Flannel Material works the best for keeping those in need warm for the winter.
